VASEM will sponsor the 2018 Summit on the topic of Securing Prosperity in the Coastal Zone. This workshop-styled event focuses on urgent issues facing the people, economies, and infrastructure of Virginia that are located in the coastal zone. We are pleased to announce this event will be held in close proximity to the coastal region at the Virginia Science Museum in Richmond, Virginia. This historic building was designed as the Broad Street Train Station by John Russell Pope. Pope was also the architect of the Jefferson Memorial, the National Archives, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
